In the past and specifically under prime minister David Cameron Great Britain has rendered an exemplary service in climate protection which has contributed decisively to the formation of the “Green Growth Group” at the climate conference of Paris. However now under Theresa May the British government is currently making an U-turn against climate protection. Nach dem EU-Austritt sind nämlich Großbritanniens Reduktionsverpflichtungen aus dem Pariser Klimaschutzvertrag hinfällig, da es nicht mehr Mitglied der Europäischen Union ist.
